Sewer Service Disruption in Certain Areas
On Monday afternoon, the Town of Oak Island reported that due to the extreme water inundation around certain pumping stations the sewer service in those areas would be unavailable until further assessments and repairs could be made.
Affected Areas
More specifically, the following areas were impacted:
- Service Area 1 - Extends from 36th Place West to the west end (The Point), including Shoreline Drive, and all areas west of the 3300 blocks of West Pelican Drive, West Dolphin Drive, and West Beach Drive
- Service Area 2 - (Partial Impact) Areas of West and East Dolphin Drive from 5th Place West to 16th Place East
- Service Area 3 - Areas south of E Oak Island Drive from SE 40th Street to SE 58th Street
