Overall

Not too big, not too small... just right for us to celebrate Nana's 80th Birthday week. Hope to come back to "Summer House" very soon!

Overall

Very good location on the beach between public access points so not as much "traffic" in front of the house. Very good sea view, not obstructed by dunes or anything. Only a few steps to the sand. Outside shower was a huge help and they have some beach stuff available to use. Nicely appointed inside although the living area is small. The home was fairly clean only a minor stain or two on the carpet but overal good. I did find a live roach the one evening which was kind of gross but I know they are an issue in the area. I think they may need to spray more often. Bedrooms were nice, beds were comfortable. The pictures were taken right when the deck was painted. It was much more worn than the pictures show but still an amazing outdoor space. Nice large deck for sitting by the beach. Plenty of seating area. We will book again.

We have to agree that the home provides a wonderful ocean view and many amenities we would consider integral to an oceanfront Oak Island vacation. We do apologize for the pest seen during your stay, but would have to support your comment in that palmetto bugs are prevalent for our area during the warmer months. Most of our homes, including this one in particular, are on quarterly spray schedules to alleviate the problem but we do tend to see them when we've had rain or any storms during the summer. We are happy to hear that you plan to book another Oak Island getaway and hope you will reach out to us should you require any assistance in planning that next stay.
