The house itself isn't fancy, but it is so comfortable and so easy to gather and be with family. There are no pictures of the bathrooms, which had me a little nervous, but the bathrooms are fine! They could both use minor updates, like new shower heads, but otherwise they are fine. The screened porch is delightful and has so many rocking chairs! There is a small deck that is perfect to catch both the sunrise and sunset over the marsh/inlet. There is a table with chairs as well as a picnic table underneath the house to accommodate more gathering while using the charcoal grill. The dock is perfect for fishing. The walk over to the beach is quick and easy. We will definitely book again here. Watching the herons/egrets/osprey and dolphins from the deck or screened porch was a highlight for sure!

Oysters With a View is a four-bedroom West Beach cottage that is located sound-side and boasts spectacular views in all directions. The screened-in porch looks out over the pier and dock where the fishing and crabbing can bring in the days feast! The dock is also convenient for launching kayaks or stand-up paddle boards for those looking for a little adventure. You'll find the dock boat accessible with bumpers and cleats (see note below). When you are ready to hit the beach, the home is only three blocks from the ocean.
On the main level there are two bedrooms and the kitchen/dining/living room area that looks out over the sound. The screened in porch and deck are also on this level. Upstairs is a loft/seating area, two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Please Note: The property boat lift is unavailable to guests. Dock has been extended and includes bumpers and cleats for boat accessibility, in addition to kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. Guests will need to access the water via a public boat launch and then refer to tide tables for maneuvering.

We loved, loved, loved this house! Great location, easy beach access, perfect views of the canal and sunrises and sunsets. Had our two sons and their families with us for the week. Plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of each other. Loved having the loft area for kids to play and not have toys underfoot all week. The dock was perfect for the kayak and fishing. Caught several large flounder. Haven’t seen those in years, too bad you can’t keep them. Walk to beach was easy and because there were only 3 parking spaces near beach it wasn’t crowded. Looking at pictures and cookbooks in the house, we think we might be from the same county! Small world. My oldest son thought he recognized one of the girls that went to an opposing high school. Overall we were very pleased with the house. My only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 was the mattresses. The queen bed downstairs seems to be missing a center support and the mattress dips to the center so you’re on top of each other. I slept in the king and it was hard as a rock. Woke up sore and tired every morning. Other two beds weren’t much better from what the kids said. Would highly recommend some more comfortable mattresses and checking the support of the underneath of the beds. Maybe the bed in a bag ones every few years to keep from going broke.
