Merry Sea is beautiful 2nd row rental conveniently located in the East Beach area of Oak Island. This three bedroom home has many wonderful amenities that will make this vacation the best one you've ever had. The home is open, airy, cheerful and beautifully decorated, including a gourmet kitchen outfitted with granite counters and stainless appliances.

The main level of the home has an open concept living space that includes a gourmet kitchen with granite counters, custom cabinets and stainless appliances, a spacious dining area that opens to an ocean-facing living room and a smaller den. There is also a laundry closet with washer and dryer and half bath on this level. Outside there is a covered ocean-facing porch with furniture and a rear deck with outdoor dining.

All three bedrooms are located on the upper level, including the primary bedroom with a queen bed and primary bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two double beds. There is an additional full bathroom on this level. Outside there is an upper level covered porch with furniture that has exceptional views of the ocean across the street.

Wonderful home

Overall

Before we rented the house we took a day trip in February to check it out. It was more beautiful in person than the pictures show it as things in the home and outside were updated. Rental company should up-date the pictures. The upper and lower decks have great views of the ocean. Walk to beach access is about a 2-3 minute walk. Kitchen is well stocked. Bathrooms were very clean. Great open concept floor plan. Very tastefully decorated. Plenty of sitting space in living room. Loved the outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. Be sure to check the amenities listed on the contract. Linens were included which consisted of bed Linens, bath towels and kitchen towels. Laundry room is on the second floor and not the main level as described in the description. This a great home and is well cared for. AC worked great, can't wait to return.

Nice home

Overall

Home was clean and new. Views from either the lower or upper covered porches were awesome. Bathrooms were very clean and so was the outside shower. Our family of 5 stayed here very comfortably. Location to the beach access was a short walk but not an issue. We would absolutely book this home again.

This is a great modern three bedroom house. Love the small sitting room which was great for the kids. Short walk to beach. We highly recommend this house.

Great House Great Location

Overall

This is a great house with plenty of room for 8 people. Air conditioner worked great, water pressure was nice, appliances were all new and worked great. Kitchen was stocked very nicely (although the pots and pans were very old) furniture was sturdy and comfy, beds were very comfy. Would recommend bringing your own sheets, as the ones provided didn't fit the queen mattress (they were not deep pocket sheets), and your own pillows. Houses I have rented in the past had courtesy toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, salt & pepper, coffee & sugar, this one did NOT. NOT even a partial roll on the holders in the bathrooms. The outside furniture on the main deck was nice, on the upper deck furniture was broken and didn't all have cushions on them. There is no outside room with extra chairs, boogie boards or sand toys, so make sure you bring your own. Also, I was very disappointed there was no outside grill.

We do apologize for the inconveniences mentioned. Our homes are individually owned and some owners do provide basic paper products or supplies, but others do not. We try to communicate this in our pre-arrival communications to all guests just in case the situation does arise that the items are not in the homes. We have notified maintenance of the issues with the upper deck furniture so that they may follow up on repairs for that. With regard to extra chairs, boogie boards or any toys and the outside grill, if we advertise the items as being an amenity of the home and you arrive to the home to not find them - please do not hesitate to call the office and let us know. For example, if we advertise a grill at the home and you do not find one - then we will gladly have one taken to the house for your convenience. On the other hand, if we do not advertise an item then we cannot guarantee they will be present..but even in that case we have no problem taking the items into consideration and reaching out to the owner on your behalf to see if one can be provided. We do hope to welcome you back to the island, and hope you will let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
